The colour of the nebula lived in seclusion on the
northern hill. One day, as he was preparing his
lunch, he saw a great luminous jewel perfectly
clear and circling, like a huge mirror that in its
centre reected mountains, rivers and all the
great earth. Doubt disappeared, everything
became clear. When the moment was over, he
noticed that, the contents of his pot were covered
with a blanket of dust. Colour and song are like a
fragrance or a memory. A house in which the sun
winds are blowing and a song can be heard
everyday.
The gallery space is a two-room apartment from the early 20th century. One of the rooms is occupied by a projection of a semi-absurd dream; when viewed through the windows from outside, it appears as a passage to another dimension.
The video is accompanied by a post-produced mix of 1990s songs. Its climax unfolds through a progressively intensifying fragment of All by Myself, layered with a randomly edited image of a girl galloping on a horse. Her dress flashes through changing colors as the lights in the room blink in response to the song’s high notes, scattering sparkles that illuminate the space. Toward the end, the lamps themselves begin to move, echoing the spinning of the dress.
After nine minutes, the sound fades, the video and lamps switch off, and the room is returned to light
