The set design for the Ball in the Square features thirteen fabrics suspended above the General Tribune in Warsaw’s Central Square. Spanning 30 metres across the square, the fabrics move gently in the air, shimmering with colour. The design draws inspiration from the polar lights—their fleeting nature, fluid movement, and luminous hues.
Hosted by the Museum of Modern Art, the Ball invites the public to dance and experience a performance choreographed by Przemek Kamiński and performed by 40 artists. The performance celebrates the final days of summer, evoking a shared nostalgia for childhood holidays, beach sunsets, sleepless nights, carefree moments, summer romances, and nights spent gazing at the stars.
